PlusPoint Fast selected for the ADI Design Index 2024 award

PlusPoint Fast selected for the ADI Design Index 2024 award

Find out more!

The PlusPoint Fast functional knee brace has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2024 award: the Orthoservice Ro+Ten Group has secured this fantastic result with an innovative product engineered with precision design.

Being selected for PlusPoint Fast’s design is the culmination of years of research and development by Orthoservice Ro+Ten. This is proof and validation of the company’s focus on its products - which are part of our modern-day culture - and confirmation of the success of its identity and recognisability.

Orthoservice Ro+Ten has always channelled the utmost care and attention into every functional and aesthetic detail to ensure that the brace delivers the efficacy expected by doctors, a practical design for the orthopaedic technicians who adapt it, and comfort and wellbeing for the patients who wear it.

In this regard, the product design definitely represents added value and this is epitomised by PlusPoint Fast.

Designed to provide support for knee instability, PlusPoint Fast is innovative in every detail.

Effective: it works with a system of four points of pressure that provide optimal support and stabilisation for the knee joint.

Easily adaptable: the anatomically designed special aluminium alloy frame can be shaped to snugly fit the thigh and shin. The CLICK-CLAK hinge means that flexion and extension can be adjusted without using any screwdrivers or Allen keys. Polycentric with an ultra-low profile, it is easily opened, adjusted and closed.

Practical and easy to don: the brace fits over the front of the knee without having to slide it over the foot. The straps do not need to be done up and undone every time the brace is worn as they fasten with small flip-top buckles to retain the initial customised fit. Numbered so they can be easily fastened in the right order, the straps are also seamless and lined with padding so they feel comfortable against the skin.

Comfortable: all padding that lies next to the skin is covered with nonslip, hypoallergenic fabric featuring a texture with a modern design. Easy to remove for cleaning.

A knee brace has never been so easy to don!

ADI DESIGN INDEX – More info

Founded in 1956, the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI - Association for Industrial Design) represents the ideas and interests of the design system in Italy and around the world. It brings together designers, businesses, distributors, researchers, historians, critics, journalists, schools, and publishing houses to encourage the development of industrial design as a cultural and economic phenomenon and to improve the responsible and sustainable development of living conditions. The ADI works within a coordinated system that also includes the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection Foundation, which runs the ADI Design Museum in Milan and the ADIper service company. It maintains ongoing constructive relations with local, national and international institutions, with which it collaborates on initiatives to promote Italian design across the globe. The ADI is a member of the Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA), and organises the Compasso d’Oro award, which is the highest form of recognition for Italian design. Created in 1954, the Compasso d’Oro awards are held every two years. Solely responsible for organising the Compasso d’Oro since 1958, the ADI has furthered its development with a focus on quality, preselecting designs which are brought together annually in the ADI Design Index. The ADI has also announced an edition of the Compasso d’Oro International Award to be held at Expo 2025 Osaka that is open to all designers from countries taking part in the international exhibition. The exhibition of the winning products opens in the Italian pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka in September 2025.
